2017 CPO survey in Europe – Procurement processes’ digitization in Europe

Paris, April 1st 2017.- SynerTrade has just published the results of its survey on Procurement processes’ digitization in Europe.

This survey has been conducted from November 2016 to January 2017 on 287 Procurement departments.

The results show how much CPOs desire to digitize their processes in the following years, and this to reach more performance. Digitization is seen as an opportunity for most of the surveyed CPOs: 76%.

This trend can be explained by the changing role of Procurement Departments: we can observe an evolution from pure cost savings towards a strategic advisory role in the company. The strategic challenges are clearly identified in sourcing processes, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and spend data management and traceability.

Mobility is not present everywhere yet, even if its benefits are already known. To be continued…
